Hungary PM: No Compromise on Migration, Protecting Christian Culture

Discussion in 'Politics' started by Scataphagos, Mar 9, 2019.

  1. Yeah because the concept of sin was unknown to religious folks before Trump. Progs taunt Christians as prudes, then are offended when Christians don't act that way.

Anyway, if a fireman is trying to pull you out of a burning building, you don't ask him if he's cheating on his wife.

I'm against any nation self-identifying as a religious state, whether it be Jewish, Islamic or Christian. Anyone with any sense can easily see how badly that works out. I'm for the wisdom of the founders that self-identified this country free from adopting any formal religious identity.

In America we were brought up in a culture that does not formally declare a state religion or profess to support one over another. So when a politician here starts using religion as the basis for taking any particular action, they're acting in contempt of that culture.

On the separate issue of immigration, that should be controlled by proper, sound, practical, legal and economic reasons for the good of the nation, not because some wanna be Nazi in Hungary or anywhere else starts puking up their Christianity all over the floor to attract the support of those influenced by an unthinking tribal religious allegiance.

Leftist are not okay with Christian nations trying to protect their own religion on their soils,
but they are okay with Muslims beheading whites and protecting their nations from Non-Islamic religions.

    So brainwashed.

  4. Sharia law is bad

But having Christian values as a forefront in government is ok?

Religion brings out the best hypocrisy. Leave your religion in your temple, mosque, church, hut and out of government.

All of this is fair. My point is that many on the right try to associate Trump with Christianity and this country with Christianity but neither is true.

Right wingers cannot stop contradicting themselves because like most things they believe in things they don’t understand.

Take for instance the idea of a republic, which this country is. How can America be a republic and a Christian nation at the same time? It is impossible.

    So which is it?

We need religious values to a certain extent like anti-abortion, conservatism, sexual non-promiscuity, fidelity, and so on. It keeps the society peaceful.

Conservatism is now a religious value? Total brain dead nonsense.

See my post above for guidance on believing in things you don’t understand.

I think many will be surprised with you equating Christian (or any other religion) values to Sharia law which cuts off your limbs, stones to death, public caning, 4-person witness rape, etc.

Religious people tend to be more conservative and modest.
Non-religious will do whatever they want because they do not believe in afterlife consequences (not everyone).

    Refrain from Killing,
    Refrain from Stealing,
    Refrain from committing Adultery,
    Refrain from Lying,
    Refrain from consuming Alcohol.

Any society could follow these rules, it would be a peaceful society.

Bullshit, those values come from innate human nature, which is why they're universal among all people in the planet and even some animals.
