What a strange world we live in. I'm friends with this gal. She only started diving a little over a year ago when she moved to San Diego. When she went out on her first dive, the instructor had them go out on a heavy surf day. He had them walk out without their regulator in, and as she waded out, she got knocked down onto her back and couldn't get up, and almost drowned.
