Human-€induced climate change requires urgent action

Discussion in 'Politics' started by futurecurrents, Aug 7, 2014.

  1. Time will tell (and has been telling), in the meantime prepare for massive increases in energy costs, and surrender of sovereignty.
I find it interesting that any dissent or challenge is excused as the person being a paid shill, or "righty", this all sounds more like a religion than science. Repeating that the ice cores and climate observations show it doesn't make it true. I am not a climate "scientist" but the unadulterated data doesn't seem to verify this.
Engineers look at data; look at the predictions, and look at the data; doesn't add up. Father's town in Greece is right on the the water for hundred's of years, I asked people there how far the sea has risen; you can guess the answer. I'm sure there's a convenient excuse, or the people there are too dense to see it.
I'm old enough to remember when school kids we were scared into writing congress about the upcoming ice age. All the experts agreed. The science was settled. I guess we did too much back then......

Not massive increases in costs. No one is going to lose any sovereignty. Those are scare tactics used by the fossil fuel interests. The data certainly does show warming that can only be explained by the increase in greenhouse gasses.

Figure 1: Number of papers classified as predicting global cooling (blue) or warming (red). In no year were there more cooling papers than warming papers(Peterson 2008).

And yet there are island peoples who are having to abandon their homes due to the rising waters. Perhaps you should provide them with "unadulterated data".

That "global cooling" scare, if it truly existed, interestingly occurred during a previous "pause" (only in looking back do we realize it was just a pause, at the time it seemed the warming was over).

  5. "Number of papers" is equivalent to truth? In Galileo's time there would have been a great many papers about the nature of the universe; what does that have to do with science and truth? Especially when $4.7 Billion in grants is sloshing around?

No worries though; your point is successfully being drilled into at least two generations with a third on the way, so the science will indeed be settled. Why look for truth when you could jump on the wagon and make the coin big Al is? Count me in.....

Paul K is one of them Nobel professionals and he says we can keep printing money and everything will be fine, so no worries, let's buy some stocks and houses!

  6. You are an idiot. This is what I was responding to "I'm old enough to remember when school kids we were scared into writing congress about the upcoming ice age. All the experts agreed. The science was settled. I guess we did too much back then......"

I posted proof that the scientists at that time, contrary to ignorant winger delusion, were actually predicting warming. If you can't understand this simple thing there is little hope you will understand much else. Go back to watching Faux News.

Man made global warming is a fact as sure as that cigarettes are bad for one's health.

great video... and contrary to fraudcurrents lie he is a climate scientist.. he is a meterologist. And, how many times has fraudcurrents has cited the AMS and experts dozens of times.

I also note If man made global warming is a fact how come these agw nutters post zero science showing it.

  8. Oh jem!!! You must have missed this science..

So to summarize what we have shown so far, and ignore jem's lunatical ravings:

We know CO2 is a GHG

We know man has increased it's concentrations by 40% mostly by burning massive quantities of fossil fuels.

We can see the result of this added CO2 in reduced outgoing radiation at those wavelengths proving this added CO2 must be heating up the earth.

So now we should also expect to see increasing world temps, which we do.

In addition we can see the temps increased exactly when the CO2 levels increased.

  9. No, it's not a great video. It's a POS lie. But being a liar, you like it. There are so many things wrong with it I don't know where to begin. But these guys do a good job of it. http://uscentrist.org/platform/posi...-amazing-story-behind-the-global-warming-scam

    http://ossfoundation.us/projects/environment/global-warming/myths

And Coleman was a TV weatherman. Not a climate scientist and has no science training and has a degree in journalism. In short he is not qualified at all to speak on the science.

So once again jerm you are reliant on unqualified fools and liars to support your argument. You have no science. You are a lying sack of shit. Nothing more.
