An update to this, for whoever may be interested: My ticket is still in LV1 status (assigned and being evaluated) since 17 September (!)
lol, that's over 3 weeks, who's 'evaluating' it for crissakes, Peterffy himself! I would have thought it was an easy enough process that shouldn't take much longer than, what, say 10 minutes? A couple of days for someone to get round to looking at it, another day to reply, a week tops. I'm surprised the IB rep who posted here didn't chase it up for you. Can't remember whether you mentioned how much you lost, or how long you've been trading with them, or whether you're still trading with them while it's being investigated.......depending on those factors it probably would have made more business sense to settle it as a goodwill gesture, keep a client happy, and let him carry on trading and paying commissions. I really don't get what the attraction is with IB anyway, they're no better than the average bucketshop, worse in some respects......
