I have a fairly sizable position in a stock with a huge short interest (about 55%). The catalyst will likely occur this up coming week and I was wondering if anyone had ever been in the same situation. Once the news comes the stock will triple or be cut in half but I was wondering if I shouldn't hold it for 3-4 days after the news comes because there are SO many shorts that have to cover. I suppose the volume will help me make that decision. Just thinking out loud.
