I wasn't surprised that Huckabee beat Romney either. The funniest part was whenever an analyst hinted that it was because Huck had evangelical support mainly on the basis of religion, that analyst would get pounced on. "No that isn't it!!!" "He just appeals to the regular people." or my personal favorite... "Everyone I talked to said that his religion didn't affect their vote." Asking someone whether his religion affected their vote, is like asking women if a candidate's good looks affect their vote. They all say it doesn't, but there is a flood of evidence suggesting that it does. Same with religion. Ask anyone here in Utah if Romney's religion has anything to do with their opinion of him. They will all say no. Yeah right! Doesn't really make a difference here though, because we don't carry much sway as a state, and the eventual republican nominee will always get our electorates.
