"He alone, who owns the youth, gains the future."

"How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think."

  3. 1. "Overcome civil challenges"?... Sounds mighty Brown Shirt.

    2. Hopefully the young people won't comply. A couple of generations ago, young people had a "sense of duty" to a degree (rightly or wrongly), but young people today are too much into video games, shopping, American Idol... and whatever they have has been handed to them by their parents.

Obama seems more Nazi-esqe with each passing day.

  4. Many young people are already under such a regime, imposed by their high schools as a graduation requirement. When I have raised it with their parents, they seem surprised that I find it objectionable. After all, it's for their own good and the community's good. The concept that it's not the job of the school board to control and dictate volunteerism flies right over their heads.

Now a generation of parents and students have been conditioned that it is normal for them to be conscripted to do what politicians dictate. It's frightening and will end badly.

Guys, the nazi-era of US was with the last administration. In the wake of 9/11 the conformity of public opinion, the censorship of media, the treatment of differing voices was all completely against everything USA has stood for up through history. The propaganda machinery of the W administration was very similar to Goebbels.

    The nerve of some people...

  6. So what are you saying? That everything is good now? That America is back to how it was when we first started this country? You dont see a socialist agenda here?

  7. Are you being sarcastic or are you just ignorant?

    Censorship of the media?

Yea, poor Al Franken. A regular political prisoner. Or Bill Mahr. Or Maureen Dowd. Or Adriana Huffington. Or Michael Moore. Or George Soros. Or 90% of Hollywood. Combined they maid billions during the Bush years and were unfettered from prosecution, IRS audits or official backlash of any kind.

Meanwhile within weeks of Obama being President his administration was railing against a conservative radio show host and funneling billions to ACORN-making them nothing more than a taxpayer funded PAC for Obama and other liberal Democrats.

A despot doesn't lower tax rates.

A despot doesn't attempt to privatize social security.

A despot doesn't favor laxer assault weapons laws.

A despot doesn't fight a war with too few troops-all of whom are volunteers.

  8. Well put.

I would add that a common theme of marxist regimes is to prosecute their predecessors in office for political crimes. Republicans will soon be reaping the rewards of their cowardice in confirming an obama clone, Eric Holder, as AG.

The obama Justice Department has already dropped charges against a group of violent Black Panther thugs who intimitated whites at a voting place on election day. That's just a signal that whatever they do will be accepted by this lawless administration.

You need not worry about a draft, Thunderdome. You're in Canada and too old. Either one would be sufficuient, but having two is just icing on the cake. Carry on. :D

Lol, AAA and Pabst - the non-trader and the salesman, but sure active with their enlightened opinions in P&R.

Censorship? Sure, remember all those pictures of soldiers in their coffins? No? That's right... That's what censorship means.

Remember critical questions being asked at the White House Press Briefings? No? Oh, that's right - the "left-wing" media didn't send anyone daring to question the administration, because they gave the scoops to Fox and to stay in business they had to compete. Effectively censorship.
