HPQ Halted, Why?

Discussion in 'Stocks' started by shortie, Aug 6, 2010.

  1. so i guess everybody loaded up AH long HPQ. look at that major bollinger band violation (normalized by QQQQ). i am still pissed at being on the other end of the shaft, but such is life. could have been better, could have been worse. expecting some sort of a rebound on Monday :)

p.s. stockcharts.com apparently shows AH quotes (erroneous since AH close was 42.59 not 41.85). maybe it shows some early print that happened right after EOD who know...

  2. Could you expand on this? Do you have links to documents? If there are documents that incriminate her/others, it can lead to serious debate. There was discussion on the HardBall program after Condi was taken on tape making some statements related to torture.

  3. A pussy can bring down Presidents, and they can bring down companies easily. Buyers might buy less, and investors might divest. The feedback loop can send the stock down. Remember the saying "If in a hole, stop digging". There is a reason for that terminology.

There is a solution: immediately hire a female CEO.

I would not be surprised if other females come forward in other parts of the company with similar cases.

This is why I have a hard time holding anything past 4PM unless it's an index ETF.

Seriously, if Im long/short something and it gaps 10% against me I would literally shit my pants.

And this is a Blue Chip man, not some crazy ass stock like BIDU.

    Unreal.

"a contractor who helped with the company’s marketing"

"The contractor’s fees ranged from $1,000 to $5,000 for events in the United States and up to $10,000 for overseas ventures. . In one instance, she was paid $5,000 for two hours of work..."

Spells LUXURY HOOKER to my reading glasses.

  9. official close for Fri is something like 46.30.
google finance shows 41.85, so does stockcharts.com but this is wrong. the stock was halted at the close, reopened much lower. i have seen quotes/trades below 41 (<-11%)

finished AH 42.59 -8% from Fri close
