Yes, either reduce size or put the stop closer, both have the same effect: lowering the potential loss per trade. Trading size should depend on where the stop is placed, the further away the stop, the smaller the position size should be. If the stop is 2 points you can use 1 mini to risk $100, if the stop is 10 points you should use 2 micros to risk $100. If the daily loss limit is $1000 then risking around $100 per trade sounds about right, this allows for 10 trades that have to go wrong in a row to hit the loss limit.
I'll admit, the multinick maestro and his jargon can get abrasive, but when he speaks english like the most recent post above, it's insightful for many of us. Degrees are a good filter but I can tell you from an engineering standpoint, most graduates can barely turn a wrench. This forum is about making money, and if someone has discovered their own edge, it's only right that they protect it like any business would do for a new product or research breakthrough that was costly to obtain. I'm guilty of joking around at times to hide how simple / easy it really is to take money from latecomers to the trends that regularly appear on stocks, but that's all fair in business. We're not going to spoon feed them the insights that we had to hunt and kill ourselves over many yearz.
