Santelli sought out an extremist nut.He appeared the next day on the Gordon liddy freak show.I mean how in the F do you rationalize going on a show like that. That is probably why cnbc didnt allow him to go on.As for the genius(soon to be fired) at cnbc that Allowed cramer to go on jon stewart....well,JS will probably be thanking him for the rest of his career and laughing all the way to the bank...

  2. For the record, I'm a hard-core Democrat. Regardless, I believe this whole financial debacle in general and Rick Santelli's position on the current financial bailout in particular lie beyond the purview of politically motivated bitching. Listen to the interview Santelli gave on Gordon Liddy's show and make up your own damn mind.

I really thought Rick was smarter than this -- the Liddy Show? C'mon.

This sometimes happens to media people whoa re suddenly news subjects; they go so thin-skinned.

he should have let the W.H. comments roll off his back, or fired back himself (and he is smart enough to do it), not whined about how the W.H. says bad things about me. Jeez.

It really is amazing how much CNBC needs some media advising.
