How will American financial institutions deal with Russia sanctions? https://www.latimes.com/business/story/2022-02-25/blackrock-vanguard-russia-sanctions-ukraine Russian ADRs traded in the USA http://www.site-by-site.com/adr/europe/adr_rus.htm
So May 25th is the date when you can no longer trade these securities? Hmmm...it's probably best to wait, because if they unload they might become even bigger values.
Sberbank and Tinkoff stocks are -80%. Rouble at 120 for $1. But you cannot buy if you don't give 150 rouble. So real crash is much bigger than the official rate. I have this information from Russians who tried to buy $ today.
I just called VanEck. They said they would try to track the RSX with highly correlated assets when they can't trade the securities. Not sure if I can trust them lol.
Russian stocks are the most favorable risk:reward trade I've seen in the last couple years. The only question is will Americans be able to participate. Trading is restricted and we might not be able to invest in Russia for a while.
We probably won't be able to collect dividends. However, when things open up again your account will probably have at least doubled.
@IntergalacticSpace and @kmgilroy89 are you Russian trolls? Strange that intergalacticspace is already on ET since 2016 with only 18 posts from which 13 are from the last 12 months.
