How will the second great depression look like?

  1. I've been around the world a lot and the really down and out countries all seem to have one thing in common....

    no middle class......

so as we collectively beg for more credit and Benny boy is happy to sell rope to the hang man.....

    we simply await the outcome....

the Gov. is still the sub prime borrower poster kid...... and is completely leaderless....

but we seem to have money for this....

  3. There's money for the International highway from Mexico to Canada while bridges in the U.S. fall apart from metal fatigue.

But there's always money for what really counts!

And as for someone else's comment about sending U.S. jobs overseas - don't worry - all the Presidential candidates support funding to retrain you...

So you can get training to become an engineer so you can compete with an engineer overseas who makes $1 a day.

    It's a GREAT plan!

  5. all right Wave, time to get your brain around this.....

you have to compete with a Chinese engineer making $1 an hour....

but we'll pay you $2 an hour as soon as we borrow the money from China

aahhh shit, an engineer from India will do the work for 50 cents an hour....

now my whole business plan is shot to hell.....

Correctamundo! A point missed by most.

And as we "outsource" all that we can [so that we can continue to buy cheap goods at Wal- Mart], what are we doing to our own middle class?

WE'RE GIVING IT AWAY, THAT'S WHAT. When the U.S. middle class has been "consumed", we will be just like other 3rd world economies... we'll have the politico elite and lots and LOTS of mostly poor people.

  7. And.......

if you were in the elite class, why wouldn't you want exactly that???

All it takes to make it happen is money.

Most everyone would like to be in the elite class. But consuming the middle class will bring an end to the "wealth state" of the US.

The US has been the world's economic power BECAUSE of the growth of our middle class... a middle class which is now being given away mostly to Asia.

  10. Wave

big money and the ruling elite don't fear the middle class......

what keeps them up at nite is a sub culture that is well armed and won't take it anymore.....

most 3rd and 4th world shitholes like Mexico prohibit gun ownership for a good reason.....

and is the cause of the flood that moves here to escape the crap trap central American M13 gangs that run the place....

East LA, Detroit, East Houston, Atlanta, Chicago are 3rd world shitholes that will overtake your middle class neighborhoods via the foreclosures that sell for 5 cents on the dollar

where you gonna move to ?? Wyoming and raise goats????
