How to use Profiles

  1. Hi, I am looking to using market and volume profiles in my strategy to get more confrimation on the trades I am taking. Please can anyone share some info on how they would recommed using these tool? Thanks

    Ye. Study them for the next year or two.

    trade range bound style when inside the va and momentum style outside the va.

    I STOPPED using volume profile, partly because mine was too error filled ;
    like with liquid ETFs like SPY, some periods had no sell volume =obvious error ,LOL.
    I could see how if one, was trying to buy or sell 1 million SPY in 3 minutes , may help;
    but even then, other ways to do it , like simply observe 3 minute charts.......
    2] I have a double check rule to confirm[some spell it confrim].
    And with SPY..... being ''liquidity leader'', never was real useful for me anyway; some may like it.:caution::caution:

    I use the market profile to identify support and resistance levels

    TPO is more useful than VP.

  8. Combine with VWAP and detrending. [EXAMPLE]

    Sure, I also use the ma for that. I use them also for value of the mean. Further from the ma, the more I´m looking for a reverse to mean, against a value area of the MP
