Not everyone is going to bat 100% they will have a few years where they lose monies like everyone else. Still, overall, they will beat most retail investors hands down. If you can get a hold of Michael Covel's Trend Following book, the performance of the top hedge funds are compiled and printed and you see the times the hedge funds did well which is most years compared to the few years they lost monies.
Questions: If we assume that the hedge funds are the smart money, do you follow the bottom 50% of the hedge funds or do you follow the elite, which is the top 5% of all hedge funds? Doesn't it make sense to copy only the strategies employed by the top 5% of all hedge funds?
ALL Hedge funds are green-eyed p****ycats. The Commercial Hedgers is where its at. Some Hedge funds might have a period success, then the losses pile up, you won't know when to ride with 'em But Commercial Hedgers are consistent winners and stood the test of TIME
You are the first hindsight trader at ET who did not score 100%. You have 2 losses. This is a terrible showing given the audacious power of HINDSIGHT. Cut your losses down to zero and then I will sign up for your courses.
