Literally the next post was from one of your fellow alt-righters using name calling as a tactic.

Liberal left maybe. But a communist USA? - not even a remote possibility.

  5. "Left/Liberalism" = Socialism, State-ism, Progressive-ism, Communism, Marxism, Nazism. All cousins of varying severity. (Uninformed people like to claim that Marxism and Nazism are "extreme right" when in fact they are extreme Left.) Our DemoCrap party heartily endorses and pushes "Leftism"... and they already may have reached critical mass.

Communism in the USA is not only a "possibility", it's likely inevitable unless we have a blood war.

We can generalise that its no better being a slave under Communism than it is under Fascism, you're still a slave. But that doesn't mean they're the same. Left doesn't mean communism, right doesn't mean fascism.

As for a communist US, where's the electoral support for a Communist presidential candidate, let alone a Marxist one?

The UK by contrast has a Marxist prospective Prime Minister and Chancellor of the Exchequer. Jeremy Corbyn won 40% of votes in the last General Election here. Not as high as Hillary Clinton's share, but I don't recall her describing herself as a Marxist, nor anyone else doing it for that matter.

  7. We don't have much if any in the way of "declared" Communist politicos, et al. It's the philosophy. When we finally go "full commie", it won't be called that of course. After all we hate Commies, don't we?.... But "A rose by any other name..."

This is just wrong. You can't label a movement as being X on the basis that its supporters don't declare themselves as X-ists.

The lack of understanding of what communism is just demonstrates the gulf between actual communism and the possibility of communism in the US. You have nothing to fear from this ism where you live. Only where you don't live.

  9. Interesting. Seems in your world the bad guys all wear labels. That's quite a plus, you know.... so you can "see them coming".

Platforms of the Communist Party Compared To The American Democrat Party

    Norman Matoon Thomas
    Nov 20, 1884 – Dec 19, 1968
Six time Presidential Candidate for the Socialist Party of America. From a 1944 speech:
“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But, under the name of ‘Liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”
He went on to say: “I no longer need to run as a Presidential Candidate for the Socialist Party. The Democrat Party has adopted our platform.”

Is any of the above different from what the vast majority of Democratic candidates are proposing? Has the Democratic party become the communist party?” full article: here

    ———————————————————————————————————————————————–

I’ve had this discussion with several people of the last few years. As expected, they grow: annoyed, agitate, angry and then flower into full-blown denial, that anyone could come their “beloved” Democrats to Communist. But, as usual, the proof is in the facts.

This has been the goal of Democrats for many generals. FDR “social” security program and “new deal” with a grand implementation of communist ideals . . . with the hatchet job of “obamacare” on the Constitution and free people, it has grown drastically worse.

It’s easier to control the illiterate and the ignorant so it’s no surprise that the Democrat controlled Unions do the bidding of the Federal government Democrats. Sets the mouse trap up and wait for the mice — that has been the working agenda of the Democrats for a long time. Government dependents will vote for more goodies to be provided by Liberals and Democrats.

The next time you consider voting for a Democrat, any Democrat, or a Liberal promising you goodies from the government: think. You’re the mouse waiting to be trapped and thus ensuring your own demise...."

    ________________________________________________________________

Lieutenant General Ion Mihai Pacepa, defected former top aide to the Romanian Communist regime, said that an alliance between the Democratic Party and the Communist Party is underway in America. Pacepa explained: “The Democratic Party has become dangerously infected with the Marxism virus. I recognize the symptoms because I once lived through them, and I believe it is my obligation as an American citizen to help the conservative movement to prevent any further spread of Marxism in my adopted country.”

So Marxists say the Democratic Party is a Marxist party, what do Democrats say?
Today: According to the Iowa secretary of state’s website, which monitors the votes in real-time, more than 52 percent of Democrats who have cast a vote in the straw poll say they support Sanders. Just over 41 percent said they support Clinton.
In New Hampshire polls show Bernie Sanders in the lead there, so for the first two primaries Sanders is the front-runner for Democratic Party.

Sanders is … an admitted Marxist. He is officially listed as a Socialist US Senator, not Democratic. He just caucuses with Democrats in the Senate because, well the topic of this article answers that question. He has run several times for office as a candidate of 3rd party Marxist parties and was an official member of the Young People’s Socialist League. He was also a member of multiple known Communist Party USA organizations. Sanders is simply a lifelong publicly admitted Marxist. As mayor of Burlington Vermont he hung the Soviet Flag in his office while those mass murdering Soviet Marxists were still on power, before the Berlin Wall fell.

  10. I wouldn't call it so much a left drift in US politics. It's just the economic powerhouse the GOP used to be doesn't exist anymore. They made a deal with the devil to trade in politics of malice under the guise of religion, so now the only conscientious choice doesn't necessarily line up with people's economic desires. There isn't a laissez faire party in US politics anymore. And without tax reform to unify the party, it doesn't have a raison d'etre anymore. It's more just resignation to a party that does have a cohesive ideology. It's pretty clear the GOP will have to jettison it's social wing to remain relevant in the future. What ever forms in the void left by the republican party is likely to resemble a more libertarian ideology.
