Darn, I've been "stupid" for the past 13 years. Better go check if the money in my accounts is actually real. It's truly sad that some trading sites that once were decent have deteriorated due to the influx of bozos that can't even spell "trading".
Oh wow, is this YOUR web site? Are you the enforcer here? I don't remember soliciting your opinion. And yes, I will harass spammers with absolutely no guilt...Your last 3 posts (above plus the two copied below) signal you as someone self-dedicated to hunting out people and calling them stupid You have to realize there are lots of morons here on ET (bond_trader & Ivanovich to name 2 based on their inability to understand why people live in MI).â¦I love to read posts from those who speak (i.e. post) without knowing facts. You have no clue about profitable traders over the longer termâ¦.This site has become a joke with idiots like you.: Actually this is a trading web site. Have you ever traded? Or do you just post all day? So that is why we get to hear hundreds of Brandon posts about setting up Internet businesses? I've never seen more worthless posts here than from you in your 1 year (under this alias) tenure. 3000+ posts in a year -- LOL. Great, furnish the proof. So far, I will take mine over yours. FWIW Brandon had a LOT more to offer ET than you ever will. I don't know him but from reading each of your respective posts it's a no brainer as to who has some understanding of trading and who's an attention seeker. "No brainer" - it describes you well. But I put the brainless on ignore. So long...
It seems to me that Brandon mentioned a couple of times that he had talked to either Joe or Baron specifically about his posting and they had given him the ok to do so. If that's not true then what he was doing may or may not have been spamming, but if it is true then its not spamming as he had permission from the owner to post. If he did have permission then his posting was in fact not much different from that of a sponsor since the of the site owner in both cases has decided that the value given is worth the value being taken.
I never heard either Joe or Baron say that though. Maybe his claimed physical condition prevented them from taking action. But perhaps the strongest argument, was the person who said "what has all the internet marketing tactics have to do with a trading forum?"
Hmm, possible new alias of Brandonf: 2012 started posting right after brandon "left" and sent me a "curs"ory PM taking a dump. If so, pretty pathetic...
If only trading stuff is allowed here, you mind as well close up shop on at least 50% of the threads around here....
So Baron is a failed trader that setup a site to shill for snake oil salesmen to make a buck.. Must be a restful sleep at night knowing he helped to bilk hundreds of young families out of their life savings.
Elitetrader is a place where people with cash to burn come to play. Therefore, as a direct result, there are sponsors, confidence men and other assorted hooligans who come here to take others money. I can name a few guys here at Elitetrader (non-sponsors) who have either taken money or attempted to take money from the peanut gallery. One guy was Schindler who was able to pull a few guys into his "fund" and then the thing crashed down. Another guy is Pabst who at one time was advertising to sell his skills for $500 a month. Then he made a publication promising a 2000% return. There is nothing you can do to stop this activity. Its just a natural product of what occurs on websites such as this one. Its not up to Baron to police the website...its really up to those who visit the site. You have to use your common sense as to what you read on the internet. I have not learned anything from chat rooms or message boards, but high quality moderated blogs.
Stages of a Hershey Trader Swordsman (R. Raskolnikov) is a great example of the stages a Hershey trader goes through while studying Jack's "teachings." Stage 1 -- Eagerness and Ingratiation licking my chops as i only get better yes, agree jack and spyder are great, jack is a little tough to follow but his teachings, once untangled, are very helpful! http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=1563544&#post1563544 Stage 2 -- Delusion and Defensiveness Im sure you probably didnt know this but actually on the very first page of the "Spydertraders Jack Hersheys Futures" thread there are links to many pieces of info for people to do their due dilligence first, ranging from the terminology to concepts to just basic background info. Anyone who read that stuff and continued on would never been seen as following a guru blindly. And it cleary states that one should read all the associated links before moving on. http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=1862711&#post1862711 Stage 3 -- Denial I've repeatedly told you I don't trade SCT only that I asked some questions over a year and a half ago http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=2082939&#post2082939 Stage 4 -- Acceptance Not once have I ever spoken to Jack Hershey and for all I know he's a shitty trader like you all say. http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=1753104&#post1753104
