  1. This has been a highly successful thread. More than 220 responses, some good, some bad, plus 9000 views. What else I could ask for?

    You made my day.

  2. It seems far too often threads on elite trader degrade into flame wars and name calling.

  3. People in general who post frequently are lonley, unhappy and angry. With Internet they can express that emotion, in real life they will sit like cubicle monkeys eating crap from all over the place. Internet helps them in a subtle way, releases that pent up emotion and negativity which you see all over these forums.

There is a way to handle that. You have seen a bit, what I did here.

  4. Yup and it’s not just here it’s on all boards. some people just cant handle the anonymity of the internet, they feel so emboldened by the fact they can hide behind their computer and toss stones, and they finally feel good about themselves and feel like they’re getting the respect and admiration they feel the deserve in the real world and so seldom get. Those people spew opinions as if they were facts and then back up their wrong conclusions with more phony hot air. Which if course leads to insults when they’re cornered. In the case of a board about the market, ultimately leads to the one whose been exposed as a phony gaining that magical power to see into his tormentors life. He’s always sure those who have exposed his lack of knowledge and shattered his fragile internet ego are broke and lost all their money in the market. In never fails to run its course, these types of people are just too weak in character to help themselves, they also tend to suffer from paranoia as if not only are the market makers out to get them and their small retail lots, but everyone on the message board is actually only one or two people under dozens of names all trying to discredit them.

There is a real hot one going on over on the Yahoo options and futures board and its spilled over to ET too. Its quite entertaining reading if you have time to kill.

  6. So you assumed he was talking about you? Good, you're making progress.

  7. A thread that wasn't meant for non SPX traders. I hope you can bring in some more nasty girth and devaste us perhaps?

  8. As long as people continue to confuse their opinions with actual facts on how things work I guess I'll continue to post the actual facts.

  10. Ahhh the day was very successful. Narrowed down those wide gator mouths, less meat, lots of hard stones to chew.

I kept hitting one and twos in 1400 series SPX puts today.

I would narrow down the bid to 9.00 to 9.50 and kept hammering them till I got out of my entire position. The market makers had no choice but to fill me at mid prices, or the whole business came to a stand still.

Its one car blocking the Intersection, analogy is good as it gets.

To those idiots who give lengthy explanations in these threads how the market makers works and how those rules are drawn up, I say go fly a kite! That is theory and academics, this is real live trading, money changing hands.

Toward the end someone dumped a sell program at 12. 45 PM! I can't believe these asses waited till 12.45 Friday before a major holiday and dumped the SPX down the tubes!

SPX dropped from 1482 to 1473 in under 12 minutes. Really nice guys enh? Took the market down when everyone was getting ready to lock up the desk and shuffle the papers in ?

    Real nice surprise.
