Artificial environment full of gold diggers. If you are rich and are so ugly you cannot find a wife, Monaco is the place top be. The more money you have, the more beautiful the women are that are interested in you.
Beautiful place, but the ostentation is a tad over the top. And at those prices, the moneyed classes are getting royally clipped, not that they seem to care. I suppose for some of them it would even be a point of pride. Reminds me of the story about two Russian oligarchs who meet on the street. The first guy says, "Nice tie, where did you buy it?" The guy with the tie says, "Just behind me, two stores down." The first guy responds, "Too bad. You could have bought it at the boutique across the street where the same tie costs $5,000 more."
