nobody made these private citizens "public", everyone above a certain donation threshold makes themselves public. You're delusional if you think the president attacking a political opponent doesn't open them up to more harm than a few yahoos getting called out by someone with a much lesser audience. #FactsAreRacist
I cannot see your twitter post, so I apologize for not being able to see the full context of your post without it. However, political opponents attack each other every day. By the very nature of being in politics, especially today, you open yourself up to a certain type of fury from those against you. Taking a list of private citizens who donated to a political party and accusing them of driving hate, financing hate and then indicating you think they should targeting is morally and intellectually abhorrent. The fact that you support this action makes you the very hate monger you pretend to rally against. And a monumental hypocrite. But keep telling us why it isn't so.
It's a link to Castro's tweet, because it's clear to me you haven't read it (Baron may need to sort that out). Only those who are intellectually disingenuous would label it an "attack" to target private citizens. Donating to a candidate who paints most Mexicans as rapists and criminals in one of his very first political speeches, and who continued hate mongering through out his campaign and well into his presidency then trying to take back that decision as "I didn't know" I was financing hate is morally and intellectually abhorrent.
Sure, if that is what actually happened. But Trump painted MS-13 gang members as rapists and criminals not "most Mexicans". So you aren't even correct with your base premise, much less anything else. Here is Trump's comment verbatim: "When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people." The claim that Trump said "most Mexicans are rapists and criminals" has been refuted hundreds of times, yet you folks continue to go with it as if it is truth. Saying a lie over and over doesn't make it more truthful. Anyone open minded and willing to listen can see that Trump is referring to the fact that some of the folks coming over the border bring drugs. This is true. Some of the folks coming over the boarder are criminals and rapists. This is also true. So donating to Trump doesn't make one morally and intellectually abhorrent. No more than donating to Maxine Waters or Nancy Pelosi makes one morally abhorrent. It is every American's right to vote for the candidate of their choice. In an election where there are two real choices, a vote is a compromise. No one should ever be persecuted for their vote, or attacked for their choice. And that is precisely what Castro is doing, and what you are supporting - no matter how you try to justify it (weakly). You, Here4Money, and your backward-ass view points that push for the suppression of opposition in any form are part of the problem. Not the solution.
Perfectly reasonable and perhaps more truthful to hear Trump's crude rhetoric in these terms "When Mexico sends its [Mexico's] people[Mexico's people are Mexicans], they’re [Mexico] not sending their[Mexico's] best. They’re [Mexico] not sending you. They’re [Mexico] not sending you. They’re[Mexico] sending their people[Mexicans are their (Mexico's) people] that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re [Mexicans] bringing drugs. They’re[Mexicans] bringing crime. They’re [Mexican] rapists. And some[Mexicans], I assume, are good people." Who else is Trump calling Mexico's people. Venezuelans? how would that sound any better? Maybe he was talking about Martians. He may have a point, it may be a reasonable one, but why does he have to always be the hateful moron to make it.
You first! You want to be overly pedantic so you can back peddle even further? Lets do that. He said "Mexico isn't sending their best". Most Mexicans live in Mexico. He's speaking precisely about the illegal immigrants crossing over - which isn't even close to "most". So you might want to start not being an idiot. You just...can't...do..it, can you. Can't bring yourself to admit you might have incorrectly supported Castro's position. Can't bring yourself to go against your team no matter how asinine they (and you by association) look, can you. Hold the line at all costs, no matter the smack down.
