How to identify 2% club of succesful traders in ET?

In my view, you busted two of the few profitable traders here... Unless you are arguing with someone on my ignore list.

And I think one is an ex pro who retired from the office in his thirties.

Considering this, your personal chance to identify that (overestimated) 2%, is 0%

 

I am interested only in broad minded people with big picture of trading and purposeful practices. And those who won't value the broad mindedness are potentially bullies. I am a thinker and I trust only thinkers, not lazy minds. Mutual respect is more valuable than money.

 

But it shouldn't be about you, if your quest is to identify other people skills.

Two of the most successful guys who used to be on here trade very esoteric parts of the implied vol surface. I've done very well in the markets. And one of these guys dwarfs me and the other will in 10 years (he's in his mid 20s).

 

Broad mind is the container needed to fit in a big picture of life or something important in life.

Eagle Vs Crow
Eagles fly high to see the big picture of the landscape and finds its prey at a glance.

Crows fly relatively low and hence has to roam above the landscape a lot more to find its prey.

Having a broad mind is like flying high like an eagle,.

Broad mind is ability to embrace a thousand perspectives about life or something important in life.

For example my threads talk about multitude of perspectives on stock trading. More the perspectives means better the informed decisions.

Creativity and broad mind goes hand in hand. Broad mind embraces multitude of perspectives (data). Creativity connects the dots (data) to see big picture (a never before insight) that we usually call as innovation.
