  2. It's funny, but this is actually the answer.

    To the OP, take the time you have been using to think about "discipline" and use it to enhance your strategies. As your strategies get better, your discipline will magically get better also. Every time you find yourself complaining to either yourself or someone else about your "discipline", take out your trading plan documentation and try to find a way to make it better.

    Automate your trading, and let the computer do the trading.

    Discipline then becomes mostly a matter of watching w/o interfering with your systems. It's taken me a couple years to do it, some days it feels stupid when I "knew better" than the computer (that happened to me on Friday :), but way more often I feel grateful to being disciplined and watching the computer making money while I work at creating new / improve existing systems.

    Another action helper, write [ink is cheap; trading isn't]down daily ,weekly... prices -----
    of a focused few. Plans[written] help.

    Dont know if Chicago Research & Trading is still in business.But that name says volumes.Research before trend trading...
