    Yes and no.

My issues are not too urgent so well... I have been waiting for months already.

I would like to receive help from IB but not in urgent so I'm trying to learn the way how I can receive help from IB promptly so I won't be in a mess when the day comes.

For now let's hear more what other say.

From my experience simple questions only. They simply told me to open a web ticket when the issue gets complicated. It appears IB has difficulties in redirecting the issues to a specialist who is in charge of it.

Does it matter what categories I choose when I launch the chat? It appears I always redirect to the same rooms.

What if it takes months and it still gets no response? Should I just re-submit this issue as a new ticket? Do you have any suggestion?

I'm just trying to help to improve the quality of IB and their software.

I think IB should build a formal bug tracking system so we can report it in a way we can directly pass the case to the specialists who are in charge of it.

The "web ticket" way seems to be too awkward and inefficient.

No one seems to mention IB's own forum and its Flash Chat:

Regarding Flash Chat, is it dead? I tried to open it but it's blank.

Regarding IB's own forum, do you have any experience about them? Would it be better?

When I post a IB question or problem here on ET, I often also post the same on the IB forum. I can often get help either forum; However, think IB is a bit more sensitive to what is posted here on ET because ET is a highly read forum.

I wonder whether anyone used IB's Flash chat. It has been abandoned anyway. :(
I guess web chat is the most efficient one to get prompt response. However you have to wait like 30 mins for someone to pick you up. Sometimes I kinda fall asleep when I was waiting. I think IB should add a sound alert when someone has picked me up.

  7. Call them. I've never had to sit on the line for more than a minute or two. I don't read my emails either.
