So far the only things that I found were a commodity ETF(dbc) and commodity mutual funds but they have a bunch of other stuff like gold, oil,etc is there companies who will benefit a lot from an ag boom?
there is DBA -- it tracks wheat, corn, soy, and i think sugar or something like that. 25% of each as a future tracker, but you lose to contango losses the way the ETF is structured. since the ethanol subsidy is what has driven the softs, you might as well buy oil. http://etf.seekingalpha.com/article/35682
With this investment http://www.potashcorp.com/investor_relations/why_invest/our_segments/potash/overview/ you donât even have to worry which crops will go up and which down.
You can try one of these stocks: Agrana Beteiligungs AG, Asian Citrus Holdings, Cresud S.A., Premium Standard Farms, Tyson Foods.
yea, instead you just have to worry about the equities market. POT has performed well, but is it overdone? wheat making new highs today; corn and soy getting beat up.
