    Me too.

    The box that pops up has three different tabs with multiple options. Can anyone give us a brief "idiots guide"? Rollover your position in 3 easy steps sort of thing. Please no jargon-filled stream of consciousness... :D

  3. NQ => Combination => Globex

    Choose Multiple (single works too).
    Leg Type = Future
    strategy = calendar spread

    CLick OK.

    Thanks. Is there a way to do the same with YM? I don't get the calendar spread option, just futures spread.

    yes, it is the same thing.

    Step by step:

    1. Enter YM <return>
    2. slide down ladder and choose <COMB> and then <ECBOT>
    3. In the pop up box that appears, choose "SINGLE", in the title bar. You'll then see the leg type as "Futures" and strategy as "calendar spread".
    4. in the middle of screen you'll see buy with a ration of 1. next to that slide the menu and choose the new month - in this case "SEP".
    5. next to the Sell 1, select the near term month - in this case "June"
    6. Click "ok"

    As this is a native combo on the exchange, the bid/ask will appear in yellow. you'll also get another pop up confirming the details of the set up.

    Sounds like alot of steps but it only takes a few seconds to setup.

    Thanks a lot, I have it set up now.

    Incidently, what happens if I leave a YM position open until it expires? Is it closed at the Friday settlement price?

    Another way is to use SpreadTrader.
    Highlight the data line where you have NQ listed, and then click on SpreadTrader on the Toolbar (also available in the Tools Menu and by right clicking the symbol).
