How to deflect friends interest in your money/trading

  1. Not a problem for me, as I tweet all my trades BEFORE I make them. Anyone is free to follow me @RandomFour. Currently, my annual profit rate is about 60%.

The only response worth reading at all here. Thank you Sprout.

About 30% of my friends are interested in how I make money and more so the amount I put at risk daily or monthly. None ask me to give them signals. If people ask me for tips, I tell them some obvious long hold equities but if it comes to futures intraday trading I tell them that it’s a 2year commitment to get to the level that they think they need to be at and that’s it. Most of the time though I tell people that I don’t make trade recommendations. I only analyze what is happening and what may happen.
I do believe that if you really have someone close to you that is interested, teaching to fish would be the better option.

No. You are not. You have the right to share or not share your ideas. My experience has shown that when you share idea they will find "creative" ways to trade it on their terms anyway.
