Trump ‘Getting Involved’ in Case Against Viral Gun-Toting St. Louis Couple, Says Governor

President Trump will be “getting involved” in the case against a white St. Louis couple who went viral after a photograph showed them pointing guns at a group of Black Lives Matter demonstrators passing outside their mansion last month, Missouri Gov. Mike Parson said late Tuesday. Mark and Patricia McCloskey are under review for criminal charges and St. Louis Police Chief John Hayden confirmed Tuesday that he’s applied for unspecified warrants related to the case. Meanwhile, CNN reports St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner has said Trump and Parson “came after her” for investigating the case and are “spreading misinformation and distorting the truth.” Parson, a Republican, said he’s spoken with Trump about the case and the president “doesn’t like what he sees and the way these people are being treated.” Parson said Attorney General Bill Barr “was represented on the call,” and that he thinks the president and Barr “are going to take a look” at the McCloskey case. In an interview clip posted by Townhall on Tuesday, Trump defended the McCloskeys, saying: “I understand somebody local, they want to prosecute these people. It’s a disgrace.”

Yet despite the police stating the protestors should be arrested for assault by intimidation, property damage, and trespassing -- the DA has not opened a case against a single protestor. Many of them were caught on video yelling that they were going to burn down the house and harm the couple.

Even hate speech is protected speech

Threatening people while trespassing is not "protected speech". Not in any state in this nation.

  6. Not when it rises to the level of threatening a person with bodily harm.

  7. I guess the lefties there pretty well figured out how to confiscate guns.

Just send a mob up and down the streets threatening to kill people and their dogs too and see who comes out to defend themselves by exercising their first amendment right to carry a weapon and then send the police by later to take their guns.

That shiite needs to be put to an end pronto.

  8. Also, I don't know what planet you been living on the last couple decades but the notion that hate speech is protected went out the window long ago.

Try sending a mob over to the house of some black people and have them chant "we hate n....g....rs" but with no physical threatening involved and let me know how long it takes for the powers that be to show up and break it up, and file charges for a hate crime the next day.

St. Louis would be a great place to conduct that little experiment.

You need to be tough with rioters. If you are they will run away. Make arrests and throw them in jail.
