The Old guy didn't shoot to kill maybe.. maybe he was waiting for either of them to fire an actual shot... I can put bullets in the heart or head of a target, fairly rapid firing, at 75 feet.. he was a few feet away and he didn't kill anybody, honestly, I think he was cutting them some slack for being stupid.. Hee hee... smart criminals calculate the risk/reward, they also get somebody else to do the risky stuff... and then there's the typical "inner city youths", gotta luv'em
For once I agree with 377, but for a somewhat different reason. A stray or deflected bullet striking an innocent is not worth stopping a robbery for a trivial amount of cash within a fully insured establishment. On the other hand, it's no sweat playing the armchair quarterback. : )
Both of you are making an assumption with the benefit of hindsight. There's been enough evidence to suggest that a guy pointing a gun at a group of "assumedly" unarmed individuals just MIGHT fire it. He doesn't have to be provoked; he just might be high or hate whitey or whatever the f'k made him decide that robbing the establishment was a good idea in the first place.
Looks to me like he was firing offhand, not aiming. And he may have gone tunnel vision. And the pistola looks like a cheap-assed Kel-Tec P3AT. I had one, a piece of junk, haaaaaaard loooooong trigger pull. You talk about 75 feet, that's where I practice, too. Hard to hit much with the Kel-Tec. Here in Texas, the first shot would have been legal. The rest not, because they had been "stopped."
Armed robbery and some pansies actually believe these two criminals should have been left to walk out. Un fucking real...
