Need some help from the techies here. I want to create a secure web site where you not only have a login and a password but also where only the computer that is registered can have access to the site. Kind of like a Microsoft encryption where Windows is able to read a product key. I hope this is making sense. I want to make sure that someone can't just use the same login and password on a different computer.

  2. Mav - I do not know how to do what you are asking, but for an example of what you are looking for - Key Bank recently started doing this. It was annoying at first actually. You now have to enter your account info and then tell them if you want to 'register' that computer.

Not sure how all that works, but perhaps something with cookies and such. Anytime I clean my computer out - adaware, IE, etc. - I have to reenter my info at Key again.

Will the computer always remain on a local network?
Do you still want to access this web site from anywhere with a login and pw? E.g. home/work/world?

Should not be hard using the MAC address of the network card.

    Pretty easy and inexpensive setup.

Thank you. I think this is exactly what I'm looking for.
