Hello Guys, since i was the one who brought up this topic i want to tell you what the development in my "closing case" was: In February, after months of useless message ping-pong with datek cust. service, MY ACCOUNT WAS FINALLY CLOSED - BELIEVE IT OR NOT. I used the personal messaging feature which you have in your account options. They put my inquiry "ON HOLD" about 12 times, each time i logged in, i had to re-submit my query. However, after ~13 weeks, it was closed. I am glad that i can hope i will have my peace now. Maybe AMTD will not be buggin me.
I read that AMTD paid over $1500 per account. I think the going rate was formerly in the $6-700 per account range and some had been higher but never over $1000. I also read that AMTD is almost out of money themselves. Wait til they find out how many of those accounts are empty with customers long gone. If they're paying in stock, this would be a good short. I would suspect they will sell Island to INCA since INCA would overpay at this point to get some pricing power back.
