Agreed, they are solutions in search of a problem. Disagree with the bit on rolling your ties. Use a tie hanger.
I have a Total trainer http://www.bayoufitness.com/bayou-f...iii-home-gym-6?tsetlock=IntuitSolutionsMobile , a total gym knock off and it's great for pull ups to get higher reps. Also a great machine for knee rehab.
Looks good, like you say, for the higher rep workouts. I have a power rack similar to this one: http://www.roguecanada.ca/rogue-r-4-power-rack.php Unlike the one there, mine has a multibend bar at the top/front, for hitting lats at different angles. Plus, a set of olympic weights, 6 x 45, 8 x 10, 2 x 5. And one pair of Powerblocks, U-90 set. Three months a year (just about to start), I actually do swing a "sickle", once a week: http://www.leevalley.com/en/garden/page.aspx?p=10198&cat=2,2160,40710 in my war on foxtail and thistle.
