BTW...No market order drops a stock like that 4 points...The point was that a mis pricing event occurred and one can capitalize on it....

A market order in TRA at that time of the day could easily (and did) move the stock 4 points. I agree that these moves can create good short term entries, and I trade them every day.

MTL is getting smoked due to comments from Russia.

 

Check the T&S and I bet you'll see a large order getting moved down until it was fully executed at the bottom. These bear trap trades were the main strategy we used to trade at my old prop firm.

 

I checked the T&S. Hard to tell if there was an offer stepping down the whole way (doubtful), but there were some pretty big takes right at the bottom below $47.

 

WOW...MTL down roughly 40% looking interesting...but no position still...dam good short earlier though
