How the imams terrorized an airliner

  1. No I mean what I said. You are the greedy loser trying to milk the system.

  2. Hmm. This does present an interesting opportunity for those so inclined. If potential terrorists are thwarted in their principal efforts, then they can always go for the consolation prize with door #2: a civil suit alleging discriminatory profiling. (Hey, what's the violation of a few known protocols between friends, eh?)

I'm not suggesting that the imams were necessarily potential terrorists, but they are either intentionally or inadvertently paving the way for others to follow in their wake with potentially more elaborate agendas.

  3. Then by your view a bank robber is a "capitalist". What product or service is provided by a litigant?

  4. He feeds the lawyers. Sociopaths need to eat, too.

(Hey, wouldn't that make a great bumper sticker? "Please don't feed the lawyers." :D )

  5. Yep, a bank robber is a capitalist if he robs for the goal of capital acquisition...and cares not about who gets hurt along the way.

The folks at Enron who broke the law were capitalists...so breaking the law doesn't prohibit a practice of capitalism...

The American way, the capitalist way, is to work the system for profit...

It really doesn't matter which system is worked, it is all about the intention to accumulate capital (including cash).

  6. Come on Z, I thought you were trying to get better.

Capitalism is trading value for value. Defining anyone trying to get money from other people as 'capitalist' is laughable, and you know it. By that logic, Michael Moore would be right up there with Adam Smith.

    Capitalism. Still the unknown ideal.

  7. You have your definitions...

    capitalism

    • noun an economic and political system in which a country’s trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit, rather than by the state.

Given our primary trade and industry in this country is a service based economy, not a manufacturing or production based economy, anyone who engages in service for profit is obviously a capitalist. The service industry trades time in some service for money...

You would be the first to argue that all service is ultimately only for the sake of self interest, so a lawyer, a thief, a trader who are private in their enterprise (not state sponsored) all fit into that category....they are all self serving...they all just work the system for profit...they are all capitalists...

Oh, and as long as you want to throw insults, I don't expect you will ever get better...nor even try...

  8. Karl Marx worked as a journalist. Therefore, by LoZZZer logic, Karl Marx was a capitalist.

"Another key troll tactic is the practice of winning by losing. While the victim is trying to put forward solid and convincing facts to prove his position, the troll's only goal is to infuriate its prey. The troll takes (what it knows to be) a badly flawed, wholly illogical argument, and then vigorously defends it while mocking and insulting its prey. The troll looks like a complete idiot, but this is all part of the plan. The victim becomes noticeably angry by trying to repeatedly explain the flaws of the troll's argument. Provoking this anger was the troll's one and only goal from the very beginning."

  9. In practice, if he was working for profit for self interest, not for the good of the state, he was behaving as a capitalist...

I see you are back to your old stuff...

Let's see if the pattern continues...

    I would guess so...

  10. The police report on the incident is now public........If what the other passengers, including some islamic flyers, reported to the police is true. These guys were either testing security, or hoping for an altercation.

They should be charged with inducing panic and arrested.
