How secret are my strategies with a retail broker?

I'll share something I have notice here. I will post a trade of a stock on here...Usually with a covered call to it. The next morning it will be up...Many times on a down market. I DO wonder if pension funds look at my post...Put small amounts in. There are so many pension fund managers, with people under them...Looking for income and safety!! I explain why I chose the stock and the reasoning for the call.

Just an example off the top of my head...CHH, Choice Hotel International, chains like; Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality, Clarion, Clarion Pointe, Sleep Inn, Econo Lodge, Rodeway Inn, MainStay Suites, Suburban Extended Stay Hotel, WoodSpring Suites, Everhome Suites, Cambria Hotels, and Ascend Hotel Collection.

Buy it at whatever, then do a leap for 2022 or 2023. If the economy is open, people will travel, vacation, see family. Many people will have less money...Budget motels without going Motel 6. Almost a no-brainer post Covid-19. Again, I don't think there is a big dive...Just dipping their toes in. The logic makes sense to them. Is that crazy...I don't think so. If I was a pension fund manager (looking for safe, solid returns), I might choose some message boards and see what's up...Independent of what my profession researcher say.

PS...Add another obvious...TAN, solar ETF. The Democrats take the presidency and congress. Buy and write a leap. Even if they didn't control congress...2022 they would. Census and immigration...

I think every broker works under its ethical standards, so no need to take stress about this but yeah keep updating yourself with your funds and check ledgers for sake of safety. This is all we can do. Happy trading.

Then logically you have to ask yourself some basic questions...

    1. Did I call up all the pension funds around the world and tell them my username of Cabin111, and send them the link to Elitetrader.com?

    2. Did I also provide them with my real-time trades, with timestamps, to show them my ongoing strategy?

    3. Am I the only person in the world to have a trade at that priceline?

If you can answer these questions honestly, your conundrum will be resolved.

If they look at Warren Buffett, why would not SOME consider Joe Shmo??

Not calling myself Warren, just saying some may look elsewhere...

Today, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, there are more than 5,000 public retirement systems in the U.S. How many have 10 or more people looking for investments in a 0% CD yield environment? 5,000 X 10=50,000...Not crazy at all...

As is usually the case with the "elite traders" here, they're missing stuff.

For example, they believe that when someone asks about a broker watching their trades, they "think" ... literally ... watching. And they assume that brokers would be watching folks that aren't successful.

What they fail to realize is that the broker also knows the performance of the clients, and doesn't have to monitor all clients.

If they were given a sortable spreadsheet with a column of one million random numbers; and they were asked to "find the largest number." They look through the column, row by row, instead of sorting it in descending order.

They also aren't too learned in AI and ML. They don't realize that ML algos do scour social media; making connections; and figuring shit out ... as best it can.

Now don't get me wrong; I have no idea about what you say. I can't confirm it; nor can I deny it--and I'm ok with that.

  8. So suppose a CEO posts extra smileys on twitter every time his company is about to beat earnings... that sort of thing? I suppose you could even look up the instagrams of all the insiders and see if they're making big purchases in anticipation of getting bigger bonuses.

    Tell us:

So, the CEO and insiders initiated the GME run up?
Or did Joe Plumber on social media do that?
Will it happen again ... with another instrument?
And if so, will there be a similar pattern to the social media communications [and trading data], such that ML could offer a viable forecast before it goes hyperbolic?
