I have no horse in the RE market, was just making comments about "comps" to other areas...meaning that it's cheaper to live here, that's all. You can buy 3bd condos for $50k Don
at anyrate, getting back to the topic, if you have just 50k, and you can make $500 a day trading the markets, you can live like a king in Las Vegas.
$50,000 on $5m should be easy on e usd , the U S indexes are tiny in size compared to currencies. Let us say I am making 80 to 100 pips a day , if you know how to trade like a champion you can achieve it consistently, trade $5m lots which are easily filled without liquidity issues , so $50k is easy. maybe $250k is easy , if put in as several batches at intervals. I have traded $2m without problems.
you're da man. Not only are you an oil pro, you're also an fx pro. If everybody did it your way we would all be rich. By the way, are you still accepting applications for traders who want to make $8/hr and are willing to relocate to a third world country? If my position doesn't turn pretty soon, I may be interested.
that's what cracks me up about these prop traders. They have no idea what their perfomance return is. I can just imagine one of them applying for a job at GS. what's your perfomance return? I make $500 a day! The interviewer scratches his head and says, "My mother makes $500 a day in her savings account at her local bank, but I'd hardly hire her as a trader."
There are EXPERIENCED traders that do make $ 2500.00 per week with a 50 k account . leveraged account It is done but not everyone can do it . easier said then done A guy can have 500 k in capital in his account & not make a dime it does not matter what you trade or how all that matters if you have the skills & discipline to turn a profit consistently it seems most get into trading dreaming its a quick way to get rich , wishful thinking
so that's how they do it. hmmmm I know a lot of traders (well, I don't actually know them, but I've talked to them on ET.)
Before you get into trading , learn about yourself and learn about the set ups that fail and their probabilities , and the other things that work but so often fail so dramatically .
