There is no chance of it collapsing short of nuclear war which will take out the US also. Surviving Southern hemisphere nations will continue with their own currencies.
If it happens can I coach-surf at your place for a siesta or two lol? I got enough sky-miles. Light eater.
You call yourself an Elliottician? Sterling is going away when it has completed Wave 3 down or quite possibly Wave 5 too? See the long-legged doji on monthly? My god, MG is born in the wrong century Sterling from year 1870 .................... this analysis is soo encouraging to the Bank of england that were I to give it to them they would laffff their asses off at the public's scorn. Sterling is going to generate a bull run the likes you have never seen EVER - when? when it finishes the last vestiges of the monthly move down to finsih the last downwave off. Who has ever seen a chart of this stature? NIEMAND! The fibos all are precise support and resistance, the Fibo wave lengths are perfect See top left of chart. Even the Metastock software cannot show the date 1870. Damn shame becasue that was the TOP from which 5 waves down began with Wave 1 circled ending in WW1 Wave 3 circled ended with the Plaza accord in 1985 when the Dollar Index did its magnifico bull run wave of epic proportions MG does it again ................... Why have you sent me here Father? Its torture, Pops
Euro, Sterling, dollar ain't going to disappear. See right side of last chart of Sterling ................... observe the beautiful glorious 5-wave count for the drop from the WAVE 4 circled. How easy can it get? THEY would be fools to let Sterling disappear into a void. Why? Its wavesa re perfect totally in tune with Nature. She was a reserve currency and deserves the utmost respect. The on e I despise is the Swissy. but that's a different chapter for another day
IMO this is wishful thinking. I don't think the Fed would be doing what it is doing now if they were going to budge on 2% target. I have the total opposite view that they will stick to trying to get back to 2% at all cost. Surely, the Fed understands that these interest rate hikes are exporting our inflation to the world and this dollar move will break things. The world reserve currency though can't budge on 2%. I think once it moves one time then you are on the path to a true hyperinflation death spiral. I just don't see it. Nasdaq is still up 50% from the start of 2019. We are just getting back to a world of normal interest rates and risk preferences and have so much dislocation to work out.
My claim is that if the Fed is faced with the choice between inducing a financial crisis, and sticking with the inflation target, there isn't even a question that the target will be abandoned. It wouldn't be overnight, more like a gradual new normal that comes into place over a few years, much like how they quietly discarded the idea that QE will ever be fully or even mostly unwound. The big unknown is whether inflation will subside as rapidly as it surged and we'll be back to business as usual in a year, or whether it proves sticky and persistent.
I definitely would not want to be in woke UK's shoes right now. Seems they pretty much committed themselves to trying to print their way out of inflation. Good luck with that... Interesting though. I had always been told this nonsense would never be attempted in a WESTERN nation in modern times, because we were just too SMART for that... Only poor & uneducated countries run by evil dictators were supposed to even THINK of trying that.
Is your ego that fragile that you have to find woke as the cause in everything that is facked these days? BTW current Conservative Party PM thinks she is following in Margaret Thatcher's footsteps cutting taxes, while financing it with debt - just like tRump did a few years back. Was old Marge (and Ronnie Baby) woke too? Disastrous Brexit I suppose was woke as well - again done by the Conservative Party. Thought libbers were woke?
Your posts on this thread are intriguing. I must say - and I mean no offense to those who believe/follow the techniques - that the whole Elliott wave stuff seemed to me to be all babidi-boo type of stuff. But maybe I should get that book back here and continue reading it.. Now the important question: what's with the despise with the Swissy? Why is that? Where's that chapter?! Thanks
