<i>"Volume Analysis is useful to those that need it. However, there are some price action only traders that don't need Volume Analysis simply because one of the following approaches is being used: A) They see volume within the price without having to plot volume on their charts. I notice that the above tend to be traders with a lot of trading experience as price action only traders."</i> True. Volume studies of any kind, MP or otherwise are just one more ancillary chart tool which helps traders visualize price action. Volume is no more or less important than oscillators or sentiment tools. Eventually even JH himself will evolve to a stage where he & his no longer plot volume on a chart. In all reality, newer traders learn to reach success much faster with least amount of tools on a chart. Strip it down, accelerate the learning process.

I believe Jack has stated the inverse. http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=1899653#post1899653
Austinp is right on the mark. When a trader has risen to the point where her/he (Ladies first) can "UNDERSTAND" price moves they have a clean chart on the screen. Beginner traders need not clutter the mind with what jack hershey and spydertrader are peddling. Taking a basic technical analysis tactic like channels and dressing it up like a 3 year old little girl playing dressup like her big sister getting ready for the prom is a huge disservice to new wannabe traders. Claiming to be willing to give all the effort and time to help new wannabes and fleecing them seems to have melded together. But many have seen that coming from the gitgo. WANNA learn how to make money in trading? KISS is the answer. Spydertrader theme song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vffare4xErw
<i>"I believe Jack has stated the inverse. http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showt...653#post1899653"</i> I believe Jack and troops will inevitably evolve to higher levels of trader's skill and ability.
True. Spydertrader staunchly defends the stuff he peddles. But he is similar to the dead on Sixth Sense: "I see dead people. They don't know they are dead. They see what they want to see Spydie and Hershie in a nutshell: THEIR OTHER PROJECTS:
1. Since I have nothing to sell, I have nothing to defend, and certainly, nothing to 'peddle' to anyone. 2. I have, however, repeatedly, pointed out how your posts clearly indicate you cannot trade any method profitably. 3. How a failed trader feels qualified to offer opinions on anything other than how to fail remains a mystery to me. Instead of spending your time in an effort to learn to trade (using any methods you could choose) you instead post bizarre pictures. No wonder you fail. - Spydertrader
