Why don't you go take a job as a cop instead of wasting space at ET with your up to now 17,118 useless posts?
I'm going to say this one more time: The cops shot and MURDERED a 12 year old BOY with a TOY GUN on a PLAYGROUND DEAD. It could of been YOUR SON. Now how many times has a 12 year old BOY shot a cop before this? Thought so. Idiots.
My son is that age. I would kill the cop if that happens to me. I dont give 3 flying f**ks what the report or the cop said the reason for using deadly force on a kid was.
Deal with FACTS. (1) The kid was waving the gun around (2) The orange piece was removed making it impossible to know if it was not a real gun (3) A BB gun is not a 'toy' (4) Officers told him multiple times to raise his hands (5) He reached into his waist band for the gun (6) Why does a 12 year old have a BB gun at a public park? (7) And why would parents allow the kid to take this to the park? And had he obeyed the cops we'd not be having this discussion.
DHOHHI : I have read your volunteering experience, and all hats to you. I don't think I'd have had the courage to continue with what you describe. Now, obviously all of these tragedies are just consequences. Now what can be done to change things ? so that these negative attitudes and behaviours be changed ? what works and what does not work?
Hopefully your kid has followed your parental guidance and isn't a punk who would defiantly disobey the cop's instructions. (A lot of blacks are punks and bring adverse consequences to themselves because of it, you know.)
Actually it does matter and it matters in a big way. It's a touchy subject but this is how it is in a society that has laws. I'll tell you what. If I'm the cop, I come up on the kid in question and I tell him to raise his hands three times, he looks at me and goes for the what looks like a real gun, I take him out. No questions, no regrets. That's the job. You come after me for that...I guess one of us is going to die. If it's me, you just committed pre-meditated murder. If it's you, I just killed a criminal assassin that was out to murder me. That's the law. Sorry, that's just how it is. Hopefully that will never happen to your kid and it never will should you raise him properly, which I'm confident you're doing.
