How much would you use to trade one futures contract? Or how much extra cashes would you keep in the a/c?

About $10k per contract seems about right.

For ES or TBonds or Corn?

  4. 0008 - if you tell us what contract(s) you're interested in trading and they people can give you input on how much equity you should have to trade each.

ES. I don't trade Tbond or corn. And there was nothing scientific about how i came up with that number I just felt comfortable with that value.

I trade T-Notes (10yr) and sometime T-Bonds and NQ. I used to think NQ was a very risky game. It was true before 2002. But it is becoming much more quite(or smooth) this year. The chart of it looks like a TBonds charts :D

10K for ES is just ok. But it is very excessive for the corn!

What I want to know is how aggressive or conservative the guys in ET play. It seems many of them are playing safe (>3 times IM). This may be the reason why many ET guys can survive in the market. Even bin Laden could not kick you out. :D :D :D :D
