Funny how that works, isn't it? How sim/backtesting and live just don't get along? Not hard to fathom in such a thinly-traded environment.
Be interesting what happens now in terms of a reply, because I noticed OP had visited the thread shortly after you posted.
Well Mickey, I am replying as you seek one seemingly so badly. Yes I saw trader221's post, and no I am not particularly interested at this time in getting involved in any potential discussions publicly on this forum, as past experience has taught me it can be a paradise for negativity and haters. I observe now from a distance. Any subject that does or does not interest me, I keep to myself. As I find in this game of trading, the worst thing to do is take advice on public forums. People are just waiting to see you fail. Anyone who wants to share a genuine, positive topic with me can do so privately.
Nobody is hoping you to fail imo, get back in here and keep contributing/communicating. Think about this, some (noob) traders when they constantly fail at making profit (not talking about you in particular) they feel the market is personally out to get them. Perhaps are you feeling that way about ET? C'mon, get in and take your punches, it will strengthen you if you can take the heat. My previous post comment was about a phenomina I notice alot on ET with noobs, they are afraid to show weakness so they run away from questions. Often if you ask something politely of them they ignore you. Hence mostly I avoid communicating with noobs on ET because they are frustrating, they start a thread then avoid answering, even when you are just trying to help.
Ok, that is a fair analogy I guess. I'm mostly watching from the sidelines lately, not contributing much to forums and such like, but still watching and analysing the markets. Trading is different for everyone, there is no one size fits all approach, nor strategy. I just found a few of the comments on here to be unsavoury, but I'm not directing that at anyone in particular. No matter the market, there will be winners and losers, but a lot depends on the mindset of the person. I'm not jumping in to the deep end with anything at the moment.
Excellent! ET posters for the most part are helpful and considerate. Yes, every now and again there is some dramas but in terms of a public forum, ET is very civilized imo.
LOL, relax have a Homebrew Mang. Trading will teach you a Lot, whether you like it or not. Pay attention and you might Profit. Crabs in a bucket https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crab_mentality The analogy in human behavior is claimed to be that members of a group will attempt to reduce the self-confidence of any member who achieves success beyond the others, out of envy, resentment, spite, conspiracy, or competitive feelings, to halt their progress.
