  1. I use 10-20:1 depending on the trade but how much do you use when trading the majors (EUR/USD, USD/JPY)?

  3. My classification of leverage:

    100:1 Ace
    200:1 Insanity
    400:1 Suicide

    My favorite leverage is 60:1.

  4. No leverage. I make money and sleep well.

Essentially, this is equivalent to trading one lot for every 100K in the account. For me, it is the frequency of trading that counts, not the leverage. If you absolutely must use leverage, especially of the 100:1 magnitude, and let us say you have 5K in the account and buy one lot of 100K in EURUSD putting down 1K, a 5% move against your position can wipe you out.

  5. This morning I used a spade shovel to transplant a bush.
In order to un-root the bush, I used the shovel as a "lever".
If the shovel was approx 5' in length, and the fulcrum was placed approx 1' from the end, how much "leverage" was used?
Think about it. Kinda like trading leverage isn't it?
Especially when the shovel (lever) slips off the rock (fulcrum) and you get a face full of dirt (pips).:D

  7. Exactly!
I hate leverage discussions. It always degrades into math arguments.

  8. We can always discuss gardening. So tell me, this bush of yours, cannabis right?
