how much does it cost to paper trade a DOM?

  1. And you've tweaked the configuration to correct what you dont like????

I have my DOM customized to show open orders, but not save executed orders.... SOunds Like you want to retain executed orders..

  2. Haven't configured the dom. I'll look into it. Some of what I see is my executed orders in the dom.

  3. All you do is ask for extensions....they let you use it for as long as you want...no pressure to trade real $$ until you're ready.

  5. Hi hanzahar,

You can paper trade for FREE with QuoteTrader's DOM, which supports several built-in simulated feeds, as well as support for IB's (and MBT's - for equities & FX) simulated trading - and their multitude of order-types (with IB, you also get FREE Charts to assist in your pre/intra/post-trade decision making).

QT's DOM may be a choice alternative to others, as it fixes the best bid in the center of its GUI, has a "freeze" option (to stop price updates during fast markets), and dynamically displays aggregated size both numerically and visually with a histogram (many clients report the histogram let's them assess liquidity more quickly ).

Additionally, you can simultaneously enter multiple orders, like opening and closing orders (ie, a buy to open and a stop to close - or visa versa).

To learn more, you can watch this brief video, various clips from the video library, or contact us for a demonstration.

    Thanks in advance :)

  9. I strongly recommend ButtonTrader It's simulator mode is free for the first 6 months, after that you pay $27 a month.
It's simulator engine is one of the best I've seen, regarding slippage and order-timing. It just feels like the real thing. In fact, you have to take care not to trade for real accidentaly. You'd need IB as a backend, for data purposes. Try it at least once.
