No I dont believe those types of claims. I do know people that make this type of money though: they dont bother posting the details on public boards. Actually, most of the stuff on this board is just a lot of wasted words ....some of its useful but most of it isn't : at least there are search and ignore functions .....
Hi gordon, I've read all the posts here. The person making 15k and who is 22yo is fairly easy to duplicate. In fact, he is just expressing events in a short transition he is going through so far. You will note that he can remember a particulare month and also consecutive weeks where the results of one week play into the next. There are several stages of investing that he hasn't addresses as yet. If you use JWS as a model and use your present situation as a starting point, here is how you can move through the required transition. Do two types of investing: commodities indexes and equities. You need to move, in stages, from 1 contract at beginner level to 4 to 6 contracts (See JWS11) to about 20 contracts at an intermediate level. When we get you to the 4 to 6 contracts, we will then begin to do the equities thing. I believe SWS11 is a little weak here because of the universe he uses. For the same capital we will have you running at about 6 times his effectiveness. So my task with you is to take you to intermediate on the ES and then continually pulloff about 15K a week until I run your equities account up to 100,000 ( about two months). This two month process can't start immediately, however. How long it takes to get to that transition point my take up to 4 months. The pace at the beginning depends upon how fast you want to divest yourself of some of your habits and attitudes. You really don't have any bad ones in the first place, but it is difficult to accept input form others as has been pointed out to you. My life is unlimited and I have about 20 flights scheduled for me up to August in the US. Because ET has provisions for journals and topical threads, it will be easy to jot down to you all you need and to provide you with illustrations. My request is that you share your successes (in terms of your knowledge and skills) with other younger persons. One issue you will have to face in the years ahead is when you hand off to others capital to be managed for you. To deal with this from the getgo, you need to have two brokerage ops. One for commodities ( Assure that the IB is affiliated with E, D &F Man or equiv) and the other should be an invitation only boutique for equities. Be sure that you account exec is a travelling man. Plan on maintaining your amateur status vis a vis the NFA rule 2-8 (E) part a. That is where I will be operating relative to you, ET and having no personal continuing contact. Thus, I am an amateur.
How about this, I'll post my ES trades live for a month if there are 100 replies of people actually willing to follow it every day. (reply to this particular message, not PM me)
This is how it must be in our plutocracy and how it increasingly will be. Brazil is the role model. Learn to accept your lot. g
Getting a hold of $100G's (my stake) is no easy task. I did it by doing a risky 6 unit condo conversion. It was a lot of work and profitable, but I had a great time...I actually miss it - trading is boring... nitro
a lot of people on here are vastly underestimating the people on this board, talking like 50k is the cream of the crop. this board has a mixture of beginners, to the 1-3 year struggling trader, to the heavy hitters, and everything in between. there are good traders on here, and professionals from every major prop firm. the results of the poll are prolly accurate, with 40% responding making above 50k. you should've added categories for 100k, 200k, etc. just because you can't make money, doesn't mean nobody else can.
