I know of one trader here worth 50 million dollars. You would never know it. He started with nothing and when you read his posts they do not reveal knowledge. ES
Ask him for 2% and Retire a happy ish man Although $1Mil isn't that much, it's 10years of fun, do me!!
10year of fun...geesh. I can blow thru 1mil in a year (maybe months) just on collecting art. wrbtrader
I'm glad someone else views this the same. Yet, gotta admit, its very a very clever name considering its a name that fit the market conditions at that time involving daytrading in which many people come here to talk about their illusions of grandeur...lots of talk in the beginning when this forum was formed by traders talking about the millions they've made. Seriously, this forum begin when all of those day trade TV commercials showed up on our regular TV channels. Thus, it wasn't just only on the financial TV networks...it was everywhere. Remember the Charles Schwab commercials before the daytrading boom ? Loved the Stewart (TD Ameritrade) commercial Later, the Etrade commercials came out and reminds me of Elitetrader.com (there's even a little education in the videos...shankapotamus) I'm sure the above TV commericals inspire many to start daytrading and inspire a few to start forums with names like Elitetrader.com Today, not as many TV commercials about daytrading but more serious (less funny) about usng mobile devices and apps to trade. In today's market conditions and trading industry...a name like Elitetrader.com may be laughed at or ridicule...people elsewhere demanding to see the broker statements of its members. Simply, Baron got the forum name and forum at the right time of the market...clever back then but silly today. wrbtrader
The gossip is that he has a charitable trust and when he dies all the money and income is going to the charities he has designated. He lives off the income to manage the trust and pays no tax... ES
It's a Hyundai which I got with 8000 km on the odometer for half the brand new price (with a few dents that were fixed) and I'm not shamed at all. Depreciating asset and all that.
It's easy to get rich in the stock market, even a kid can do it. http://www.as-seen-on-tv-compare.com/wizetrade.php
