If so, do you not take every deduction that is offered to you to minimize your taxes? I'd like you to tell the truth - if you ignore deductions and don't take them, you're an idiot. The biggest tax cheats are illegals (foreigners) using and getting thousands of dollars from the Earned Income Tax Credit. That is the ultimate BS, tax confiscation and very much like communism. How does a family for 4 for instance, with a total income of say $12,000 where $500 is the taxes withheld from the couple so, they are due the $500 back but, by slight of hand, the Earned Income Credit instead, gives them a refund of $2,000 or more? Now, that extra $1,500 came out of some other family's pockets and they are not even filthy rich billionaires but, average joes? How is that even fair? Most illegals (foreigners) get paid under the table in cash so, no taxes on their income. In addition, they use other people's Social Security numbers and use their benefits on top of it. Some of them have committed identity fraud too, using your name and social security number and opening credit cards in your name and using it to buy expensive stuff and ruining your credit for life.
