How much are you paying to trade options?

It will also depend on what products you trade. If you are trading the SPX or VIX options, you will pay an additional exchange fee of up to .60 per contract with IB and most other brokers, although some will give you an all in price and will not pass these extra exchange fees on to you.

which options are you trading? Stock, Index, FOP?

Different brokers have different options available.

TOS $1.50 per contract, exchange fees are included in the price. I had IB as well but I can't stand their platform (tws).

Eoption charges $3 a trade with 15 cents per contract.

They're a division of Regal Securities. That's probably as dirt cheap as it gets with no large volume requirements until maybe robinhood dot com starts offering them up for free (like their stock trading).

You should try one of ours. For heavy option users, I'd suggest Sterling Trader Pro, LVX or Silexx OEMS.

  6. It's amazing what competition (and automation) has done for prices. 10-15 years ago a stock transaction was costing me 24.95 / 29.95 to buy and sell stock.
I wasn't trading options then, I don't remember the cost.

Now, T.D. Ameritrade charges me 6.95 for buying and selling stock.

Prices don't normally fall 75%. This is good stuff....:)
