I make more money on the short side than long. After researching my trades, it's clear that I'm more patient awaiting set ups to the short side. I make more long trades than short, but my shorts are more net profitable.
I Agree with that..... Any good TA trader will have set patterns for both long & short set ups..It then just a question of believing what your seeing and pulling the trigger with out any preconceived directional bias. As ChrisL says whocares which direction you play it.... just be flexible and trade what you see and not what you think. Easier said than done I know but the best traders I have come across ( that are not on drugs.... ) all have the same traits.... Mup
Real rough averages: 70% Longs 30% Shorts I have a tendency to hunker down on shorts for a longer time than my longs. Akuma
gotta do both...but there is a solid argument against shorting. That solid argument is that poeple like to buy...so longer term there tens to be more strength on the long side. Poeple are always looking for BUYING opportunities...but people dont always look for shorting opportuinites.
