How many ES traders take Friday off?

I actually Trade Es/Ym.. depending on the cleaner Index set up.. on a position basis & longer term holding times... More often than not , scaling into building a position for a significant/ meaningful move.. That`s my primary M.O these days.

I will occasionally put on a day trade ..1-3 day hold.. when the Cherry presents itself but do not go hunting for intraday set ups anymore, as we all know that the ES game has changed drastically from the late `90`s & early 2000`s... Vol is being choked out quicker than a Royce Gracie Triangle Choke, with the rare exception, with the introduction of BOT control starting in `06 - `07, where as the inside bid/ offers are on tight reins and have to trade thru your limit order to get hit.

 

I have similar experience with about 3-4 losing days a month but am unable to distill the best trading to any particular 3 1/2 days. If I could, I would trade the 3 1/2.

 

Whats it like to be a millionaire from trading? I am serious as you seem to have done quite well over the years. I remember your handle.

Thanks for the kind words... Funny how the Title of Millionaire doesn`t carry that same punch or impact it once did... especially here in NYC Suburbs... Kind of funny how when one first starts trading, it`s all about wealth accumulation & all that goes with it... Now it`s the dance that I enjoy engaging in, where as the reward is the by- product of patient entry & proper behavior.

 

Take Friday off just because "it's not a good day for trading"? Riduculous notion... but if you just want to take a long weekend or play golf, that's diff.

As traders, our objective is to have our risk positiion "in tune" with the market's buying and selling as best we can. Any day can be difficult and choppy... or even lethargic. Any day can be a big mover.

All the years you traded Forex....I thought by now you'd have it nailed down. Yet you post about trying to scalp the ES for puny tics? What's the deal?

Well lets put it like this...I have spent a lifetime of trading on-and-off, part-time & full-time professionally & non-professionally...I could never make enough money to pay that back..Wifey is the best thing that ever happened to me ...so happy story. I am working on making money again and I never give up.
