How many beers = bottle of wine as far as alchohol content?

  1. So not sure if I got this right because it doesn't seem right..

    Red Wine = 13.5 ABV = 750ml (standard bottle)
    Miller Light = 4.2 ABV = 354ml (12oz)

wine = 13.5/750 = .018 units of alchohol per ml.
beer = 4.2/354 = .011864 units of alchohol per ml.

so it takes 1138 ml of beer (.011864x1138=13.5) to match wine. 1138 ml of beer = 3.2 beers.

If that is right (which it may not be) i sure as hell feel more buzzed by a bottle of wine over 3.2 lousy beers.

actually no, its double that. so its 6.35 beers since wine has 3.2 times more alchohol then you would just say 2250 ml of beer to equal a bottle of wine which is 6.4 beers. my bad.

I'm coming up with 6.8 beers for an equivalent to a bottle of wine.
