I read here this is not always wise (but source can be wrong): https://www.zdnet.com/article/why-debloating-windows-is-not-a-good-idea-and-what-to-do-instead/ My Windows also is up in around 10 seconds. Just turn off all unwanted programs at startup. A program like CCleaner can also do this for you, clean registry etc
Every 4-5years. I try to skip 3 generations of CPU. I buy MSI gaming laptops* in the 2.5K-3K range. I sell them on ebay for about 60% of what I paid, usually to people who are college bound. Been doing it this way for 20+ years. * hooked up to a 5K Dell monitor
Best not bloat to begin with, but CCleaner (crap cleaner) is OK. There was an issue about 6 years a where it got infected with malware in a supply chain attack, but that has been since fixed and I have used it once since then.
Had the local tech guy (working out of his garage...But good quality), install Windows 10 (from Windows 7). He told me I would like it much better that Windows 11. But, he did give the warning...Windows 10 will not be covered my Microsoft after December 31, 2024. We intend to buy a new computer this fall...With the latest Windows version installed.
Mine ones is quite faster, for about 10-15 seconds maximum. In fact, it depends not only on the operational system but also on the PC itself. For loading the windows such things as processor and RAM are liable. Memory disk also plays a role here. If you have enough RAM, fast processor and SSD disk, then you will launch the PC faster. So it depends on these components too. However, I agree that Windows 11 is launched a bit longer compared to the previous OS version, but everything is because this OS is still fresh as hell and Microsoft should work on the stability and increase of the speed in future.
Around 3 years on average depending on what I am trying to accomplish. I am again not trading for awhile accept for maybe trying 1 trade per week, since I got an IT contract job. I would recommend these min specs for a new computer. 1 TB SSD drive. 16 GB memory. 8 GB Video card. Windows 11 is fine if its already installed on the new computer.
