How Long can IB's security device last?

How long can IB's security device last? How many times can it generate a number before it is flat?

 

Odds are that you will lose it before the battery goes. Lasts a long time.

 

lasted a year for me, used daily. keeps working but a hitch that attaches it to a keychain broke off a few months ago.

 

I was told that 10 years is the expected lifetime for the battery.

 

IB rep told me 10 Years , also don't try to change the battery!
